6th January 2015 - Celebrating Shun Yee and Marilyn

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Here we are celebrating Shun Yee and Marilyn's birthday!

They don't have the same birthday by the way... 

And we celebrated it long after their birthdays were over, 

just to bring in the element of surprise!

We went to Inside Scoop at Taipan for the first time together. We went in 2 cars so that some of us could buy balloons and candles for the birthday girls. We got a blue a balloon for Shun Yee and a pink one for Marilyn. 

Unlucky for us, we bought candles that can't be blown out. Worse, it's very difficult to move the candles off the waffles (substitute for their birthday cake). The candles would either burn us, or ruin the whole waffle and we had to pour water over them to get them extinguished.

So unless you're planning a joke, 

DON'T GET CANDLES LIKE THESE. 

Life lesson learnt.

As the "modern and young generation" we are, we proceeded with our rituals of taking countless photos of ourselves and of the food. Joy Ei and Allysa even spent more than 15 minutes taking photos of everyone's waffles. Yes, waffles. #INSTAGRAM

On our way to the car, Shun Yee though I looked cool in the ally, 

so we had a mini 'photoshoot' with only a few pics after the waffles.

Angel during Wesak Day 2014

A Different Wesak Day

Each year  my family would go to a temple to make donations This year  I'm going out with my girlfriends We're going to Loud Speaker  Subang for Karaoke

I didn't know how to go there so I waited for Marilyn  my college's hostel I met up with Shun Yee in the morning Then we started with the modern-day tradition of selfie taking  while waiting for Marilyn to come I was prepared for the selfies  always am  I even brought a torch light for this It's my dad's but anyways 

Marilyn came  picked us up a while later   Willy  We then set off to pick up Junnie  her house Junnie lives nearby Loud Speaker So near that she could walk there   We were there early so we waited in the car for Joy Ei  It's pronounced as Joey  to come Nobody had their  yet because it's provided in the karaoke package  So Marilyn  Shun Yee were extremely hungry Luckily enough for them  There's an aunty selling food  a stall right infront of where we parked  They got down  Marilyn got some Nasi Lemak  Direct translation of Nasi Lemak    

We stopped waiting for Joy Ei in the car  so we waited for her outside of Loud Speaker instead When she arrived  We began the party  finally ate  It was a hell lot of fun singing with the girls  but it felt like there wasn't enough time  Especially for Marilyn  

After our karaoke session  Marilyn drove all of us to Sunway Pyramid for     Tong Pak Fu We left the mall tired  empty handed but I was  That's it for my Wesak Day this year
