Angel's First - Surprise Birthday Party

Never in my life, have I been surprised with a party for my birthday. For my first, it happened 3 days after my birthday. Normally when my'special day' has passed, I wouldn't expect anything more after that.

On my birthday, the girls and I decided that we'd celebrate it next Monday along with Marilyn's birthday. In between the 6 days' wait, there was a supposed house warming get together for Shun Yee and Marilyn. I was told to be at their new house at 8pm and to bring food, so I brought bacon.

At 7.45pm when Ru and I were leaving to their house, 2 boys came over to us, asking to borrow Ru's phone to make a call. Sadly, they couldn't find who they were looking for so they went back to their school (It's a 5 minutes walk away from my house). 

We were already late, and on our way there, I asked Ru for the bacon then we realized that we left it at home. Ru dropped me of at their house while he headed back to get the bacon.

I rang the bell because Marilyn said that the gate was looked, but the gate wasn't locked when I got there. So I went in the gate and saw a party hat thingy and an arrow with pictures that looked like polaroid photos which made me think that they started taking pictures without me! I started freaking out and went in without taking off my shoes.

When I opened the door, I saw Joy Ei at the other end of the room recording a video. I thought it was a house warming video and then the started singing the birthday song and brought out the cake. I was too surprised to even cry, let alone speak. I was just smiling and laughing the whole time. I smiled so big that my ulcer on my lip burst opened, but it didn't even hurt.

After blowing out the candles, I started looking around and we took a hell load of photos while getting dinner ready. The whole room was decorated with balloons, pictures, lights and a DIY banner. And Pekky was there too. She said she couldn't make it. Then, I found out that it was a lie, and so were the doors being locked, and also coming at 8pm and those weren't Polaroids at the gate and the party hat was actually a unicorn horn! I wished to be a Unicorn for my birthday wish and now I got it.

In the meantime, bacon were on their way. We had Texas Chicken (my favourite) but because of my dumb ulcer and sore throat, I couldn't have chicken.

  

I was too shocked to cry the whole night but at least I remembered to take photos!

Later on Ru brought the bacon and went off with his friends to have dinner. In the meantime, we were recording ourselves lip-syncing and dancing like crazy potatoes while laughing our butts to the ground, especially Allysa! It was Joy Ei's idea. It was really unorganized so I can't wait to see how it turned out!

While we were dancing, one of the balloons got stuck onto the ceiling fan! It took us a long time to get it down. I didn't help much but they got it down without bursting the balloon!

We danced a little more until the battery died then Ru and Jeremy was outside, so they came in sitting at a little corner with their faces on the screens of their phones! I got a photo taken with Ru and Ru helped us too a few shots too!

We had our mini balloon photo booth at where their future fridge is going to sit.

We swallowed down helium afterwards. All of their voices changed, mine didn't. I tried about 10 times but nothing happened, but I did chocked on helium, so I guess something kind of happened?

  

By the time we sucked chipmunk gas out of balloons, it was already midnight. We were all pooped out and ready to go home. SO we said our goodbyes to Shun Yee and Marilyn, got lost in the car park, then went home to bed!

What's Bon Odori

Bon Odori (meaning Bon dance) is a festival held every summer 

as a reminder of the gratefulness one should feel towards one's 
ancestors. One of the largest Bon Odori celebrations outside Japan, 

this joyous event is also a showcase of Japanese art, dance, food and 
drinks.

th  also happens to be Avery  My youngest sister  's school's Sports Day I wasn't there at her school for the whole morning, only went to pick her up  As for the hours before going to her school, I got ready for Bon Odori super early I had on horrible makeup because of the black eyeshadow fall outs  nearly pulled my hair off  But I left for her anyways  It was so crowded there  I spotted her from afar but she didn't see me  I had to go  her  the dozens of tiny children that had the same shirt  I found her, eventually, and reached home by 

I fixed my makeup later on  that was when Carmen  Venessa came over for Alice  My younger sister  We hung out and got ready together  I couldn't decide on my look The makeup was fine but I couldn't decide on my hair  I was curling it halfway,  then decided to straighten it back  tie it into twin tails  Once again  I had nothing to wear      but I had it through, I mean  I wasn't gonna go naked . It's illegal to do that In the end, I got myself done in time  on top of that, I looked 

We left the house at  and got there when the gates were opened  We got Bon Odori fans while walking our way in  We were already early but there were so many people there Avery followed Alice  her friends, then I hunted for mine I was pretty concerned cause there  was  reception there last year   Luckily, found them early  An d not long after, I met   A really sweet Facebook friend who I wanted to meet for a long long time We said  and went our separate ways So we got some food, sat down  talked

Some time later, I tried to find Ru  It was about  It was flooded with people  So to make things easier for us to find each other, I had Jacky on my head  While I had him between my tails  some people said that he was  or just  and some even asked to take photos  I was asked to take photos for about  times that night  Anyways, Ru was pretty easy to find cause  he was the only one with HIS hair I left my friends for a bit  eventually found him  It wasn't easy  The reception was dead that time I got treated to Sushi, a drink and some really weird ice cream  Sushi  a drink  

Later on, I went back to the group  Went for more food, stared at cute mascots  talked  I didn't dance cause none of them wanted to  I didn't wanna risk getting lost again  At  Bon Odori ended with a    The fireworks were so gorgeous they made me cry I didn't get it recorded but here's a video It's a FaceBook video from my friend, you can only watch it if you're a  Friends of Friends
